Guide to Testing/ Assessment Resources and Materials:
■ Introduction:
This guide describes major resources used to locate materials
on psychological and behavioral questionnaires, surveys, measures, tools,
scales, and instruments. Often, there is no simple way to find a test or
its related literature, so it will be necessary to check several different
resources. These include directories, textbooks, and databases. For
assistance in using a resource, please ask the library staff at the
Reference Desk, or call 312-777-7651
The resources listed here may be used for three main purposes:
1. Obtain the actual test instrument
2. Locate literature discussing the application, validity, and reliability
of a particular test
3 .Find out what tests are available to measure a specific behavior or
phenomenon
